Connecticut Financing Update and Today's Mortgage Rates 2/8/2013

It is exciting to see the rates bounce back from highest levels seen for months after last weeks shocking news that the unemployment rate increased to 7.9% from previous 7.8%. The market continues to be very volatile and it's extremely difficult to put your finger on where the market is heading. The 10 year went from close of 1.95 yesterday to current levels of 1.96. It was great to see the rates bounce back this week and we just have to wait to see what happens next week. My recommendation is to let rates float until you are about 15 days away from closing so that you get the best interest rate available to you.

Today's Mortgage Rates

Conventional 30 year fixed 3.75% APR 3.844%

Conventional 15 year fixed 3.00% APR 3.110%

Conventional 5/1 ARM 3.25% APR 3.012%

Conventional 7/1 ARM 3.375% APR 3.141%
