Staging Your Home For Sale
One very important aspect of selling your home has to do with "staging" your home for sale. In short, it means optimizing your home for sale to broaden its appeal by implementing neutral and /or aesthetic changes so that your home shows as well as it could to as many buyers as possible.
Some real estate agents charge you initially for this service, or will offer a Complimentary one hour consultation as their client. You should NOT have to pay additional fees for staging advice. De-Clutter Your Home
In the kitchen, remove extra appliances, books, and anything that takes up counter space. Buyers love seeing clear, open counters! Clear off your fridge magnets, and tidy up the living room and bedrooms by putting clothes and other personal items away.
Optimize Furniture Placement
Overcrowding a room with furniture makes it hard for buyers to see the space. I'll advise you on what furniture should stay, what should be moved, and how to arrange everything to highlight your home's best features. A few flowers and well-placed knick-knacks can also enhance the atmosphere.
De-Personalize Your Space
Buyers need to envision themselves in your home. Remove family photos, collections, and personal items. This helps them focus on the home itself, not your personal style. Additionally, your bathroom should be as clean and neutral as possible—put away your personal hygiene and beauty products.
